There are a number of possible causes, including that the book is already overdue, that you have exceeded the number of renewals, or that the book has been recalled for another user. Contact the library at 780-4270 (Portland), 780-5345 (Gorham), or Lewiston (753-6540) and have your USM ID card handy so you can read the barcode number on your ID card.
