We are not set up like a public library, so fiction and non-fiction are not clearly separated. USM uses the Library of Congress cataloging system and most of our fiction books will be in the P section. This section is located on the 4th floor in the Glickman library (Portland), on the 2nd floor in the Gorham library, and on the 1st floor in the Lewiston-Auburn library.
Non-fiction books are found throughout the collection.
Use our catalog, URSUS, to do an online search. In Advanced Search, you can set limits.
Please see a staff member if you need further assistance.
