We are not set up like a public library, so fiction and non-fiction are not clearly separated. USM uses the Library of Congress cataloging system and most of our fiction books will be in the P section. This section is located on the 4th floor in the Glickman Library (Portland), on the 2nd floor in the Gorham library, and on the 1st floor in the Lewiston-Auburn library.
Non-fiction books are found throughout the collection.
Use our catalog, URSUS, to do an online search. In Advanced Search, you can set limits such as publication dates and material type, for example book or ebook.
